Hospice Palliative Care Center

Hospice palliative care is a professional medical service that improves the quality of life by relieving pain and physical, psychological, social, and spiritual suffering for patients and their families with terminal diseases that are difficult to treat.

Ilsan Paik Hospital Hospice and Palliative Care Center provides comprehensive care services to patients and families through a multidisciplinary (doctors, nurses, social workers, and volunteers) team approach. In August 2017, it was designated as a hospice and palliative care specialized institution, providing total care services. We operate a 9-bed independent ward, end-of-life room, family room, bath room, and counseling room. In addition, to relieve the physical, mental, and financial burden on terminal cancer patients and their families, we have introduced a hospice palliative care assistant system, which has been in effect since September 3.

Operating philosophy

For hospice and palliative care patients and their families

Physical care to control pain, shortness of breath, vomiting, ascites, swelling, etc.

Psychological care that comforts the emotional pain felt by patients and their families

Social care that connects various resources by identifying economic and environmental difficulties

End-of-life care that relieves the patient's physical and psychological pain at the time of death and supports the family in preparing for death.
