Neonatal intensive care center

Clinic opening

The neonatal intensive care center is a hospital room for the treatment and care of premature infants and high-risk newborns requiring medical management, such as full-term infants, where the infants will remain until discharge.

For the severe management and treatment of high-risk newborns and premature babies, neonatologists and nurses, including ventilators, incubators, and various monitors, are doing their best in their assigned roles, and rapid and accurate treatment is provided through close collaboration with related departments. A resident or specialist is on duty 24 hours a day, and each patient is assigned a nurse.

When visiting a guardian, the attending physician or attending physician directly explains the patient's condition and test results to the guardian. Explanations over the phone are possible after confirmation by the guardian. If an interview with the attending physician is necessary, please contact the nurse in charge in advance.

◎ Visiting hours: 12:00~12:30, once daily (including public holidays)

◎ Visitors are limited to two parents of the patient by checking the guardian pass issued at the time of hospitalization.

◎ In order to control infection of patients, visits by anyone other than the patients’ parents are strictly restricted, so please cooperate.

◎ After wearing a gown and mask, you can change out of your slippers, wash your hands in the order you are waiting, and then enter the Neonatal Intensive Care Center for a visit.

◎ Persons suffering from a cold or infectious disease (eye disease, herpes disease, diarrhea, etc.) cannot visit.

◎ If you cannot come to visit, only the mother and father can inquire about the baby's condition by phone to the nurse in charge.

◎ When visiting, you can ask the nurse in charge about the baby's weight, amount of feeding, and simple blood tests. You can also receive detailed explanations about ultrasound, detailed examination, procedures, and baby's treatment from the resident (or neonatologist).

Infection control/hand washing

It is very important that all visitors to the hospital follow the hospital's infection guidelines. People with contagious diseases or infectious diseases, including colds, and children with weakened immune systems should not visit. After wearing a visiting gown and mask, change out of your slippers, wash your hands in the waiting order, and then enter the neonatal intensive care center for a visit.

Hand washing is the most important way to prevent the spread of infection. Wash your hands first before entering the neonatal intensive care center, and wash your hands again before touching your baby.

- After removing your watch or ring, wet your hands and elbows with the water that comes out automatically.

- Apply the disinfectant solution prepared on the side and wash thoroughly from the elbow to under the nails.

- Dry your hands with paper towels.

- Cell phones and cameras are contaminated, so it is recommended not to bring them into the hospital room if possible.
